Emma Reinisch
I am a fourth-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing student at the University of Florida. I have a passion for direct patient care and a desire to have an impact on those around me which I have channeled into endeavors such as working as a CNA in memory care units, an internship at a free healthcare clinic, and serving as the president of a nonprofit organization dedicated to aiding local refugee communities.
I am motivated, energetic, and compassionate, and believe in proactively pursuing the future I aspire for. I am goal-oriented, whether that be working towards academic goals like completing UF's International Scholars Program or chasing personal goals like running a half marathon and self-publishing a book. Outside of class, you can find me pursuing my other passions, including traveling and anything outdoors: scuba diving, hiking, rock climbing, and more.
My personal motto is to never be a bystander- both in others' lives, as well as my own- so I always strive to take control of my own path, seek out opportunities, and never accept inaction. With this mindset, in addition to working towards a nursing degree, I am advancing my long-standing goal of serving in the health sector of the Peace Corps after college through my involvement in UF's Peace Corps Prep Program.
After college, I intend on pursuing a career as a pediatric nurse. Ultimately, I would like to continue my education to become a nurse practitioner, but I look forward to exploring career paths to see where I can have the greatest impact.
