At UF I am enrolled in Open Water Scuba Diving, a class through which I will learn about basic safety and rescue as well as obtain my scuba certification. Today we had our first real dive, after almost two months of learning skills in the pool. We went down to 50 feet of water and did three total dives to practice unconscious diver drills, out of air procedures, mask drills, emergency ascents, maintaining neutral buoyancy, equal trim, hand signals, and working with our buddy.
