I am excited to be serving as an executive board member and Hands-Only CPR Committee Chair for Red Cross Gators for the 2020-2021 year.
This past year I was a committee director, and am excited to have been chosen for the role of committee chair and for this opportunity to continue the development of the committee. Since last year was the committee first year, we worked on establishing the committee, working our logistics, training the committee directors and RCG members, and setting the foundations for future work in the community. Moving forward, I am excited to begin work on implementing hands-only CPR trainings in the Gainesville community, despite having to navigate complications from coronavirus. We intend on hosting trainings in local schools, libraries, senior centers, and afterschool programs, among other settings, in order to promote health emergency readiness and preparedness.
