This weekend I competed, along with three other chapter members, in the State Veterinary Science competition. This was my fourth year competing in the event, and this year I coached the other two members who had never competed in it before. We had to demonstrate clinical skills, restraint practicums, breed, tool, and parasite identification, general knowledge questions, and clinical math skills. We had exciting results- tying for fourth whereas the year prior we had placed fifth! This was out of 30 teams who qualified for states out of the ~100 teams who did the preliminary competition. Out of the ~120 individuals competing, I placed 4th individually.
