Video Diary: Dives in Nassau, Bahamas

Writer's picture: Emma ReinischEmma Reinisch

Over spring break, I was able to dive in Nassau, Bahamas (through Stuarts Cove). We went to two wreck sites that were used as film sites, and a wall that descended ~3,000 feet. There was abundant coral life at both sites, and also a lot of amazing wildlife. In addition to the many bright and colorful fish, we saw a couple Caribbean reef sharks, and multiple sea turtles, including one (pictured above) that our dive master said was the largest sea turtle she had ever seen even after diving there almost every day for the past five years. The sea turtle was easily the coolest thing I've seen on any of the dives I've done so far, and I would've estimated her to be around 400 lbs.
